Roundup Day 3
On day curtailed by rain we started to make progress in the
trapping of waders, you may have heard the phrase “fish where the fish are”,
well it applies to wader trapping ..first find your waders! Of the 14 nets set for waders near our
base we caught 3 Ringed Plover and a Dunlin
whereas 2 single shelf nets in an area where the birds favoured caught 3 Little
Stint, 11 Dunlin 1 Bluethroat and 2 Meadow pipits.

The two
happy chappies are Paul and Dave having caught Merlin number 2 of the trip –
this is Dave’s happy face honest!
The Pipit in the other picture caused some debate, we would be
interested to hear what any pipit experts amongst you think about its identity
Looks like you're having to work hard for the birds lads!
ReplyDeleteWe would like to see some more piccies if poss. That pipit looks interesting but its a crap photo - got any better ones?
